Scenes from Sunday morning:
1/ Early morning espresso—we use
this—with the newspaper
2/ Candles, records, and reflected light on the mantle
3/ Garden scheming without the landlord's permission
4/ Sweet potatoes which I don't have the heart to tame (or throw out)
5/ Baked eggs with spinach and goat cheese before a run in the park
It's late, and I have so much dirt under my fingernails—a sign of a day well spent.
Beautiful! I haven't backed an egg in a while - always such a tasty thing!
ReplyDeleteI'm on such an egg kick this spring. (Even took a "Chickens in the City" class on Saturday, but that's a ways off.)
Deleteany kind of scheming without the landlord's permission is a-okay in my book, says the girl who has ripped up the carpet in two apartments...ask forgiveness not permission. LOVELY photos :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Anne! I'm going to remember that line: ask forgiveness not permission. Perfect.
DeleteBeen up to precisely this sort of scheming myself! Glad to learn about you from Jane!
ReplyDeleteWe're just a couple of nature-obsessed folks living in the city—scheming is our solution.
DeleteJane's amazing. Thank you!
:)
ReplyDeleteI've been :) at all of your photos lately.
DeleteI came across your blog last week and just wanted to say I love it! Your pictures are amazing....
ReplyDeleteWhat nice words! Thank you, thank you for taking the time to comment.
DeleteGorgeous photos, as always... curious about the cup & saucer; may I ask where you got them from? I'm always on the hunt for them.
ReplyDeleteSurprisingly enough, Sam picked up a pair of them at Ikea.
DeleteLovely. (:
