My friends,

While it is fresh in our minds (in the Northern hemisphere), would you take the time to send me 1–3 sentences about Spring? I'm specifically referring to the season, but your responses can be as literal or vague as you wish. I'd really love to hear—and, perhaps, to compile.

Both emails and comments will do.

My love,
Jessica

  2. Someone said, "Winter's over! We did it!" this morning. And, even though I live in Northern Idaho and sometimes it snows in April, I grinned at the idea that (soon!) we can sit on the porch in T-shirts, and drink iced coffee without freezing solid. It feels like, all Winter, the weather kind of rules us-- moods, plans. There are four of us girls in my house and we are giggly and inspired and just feel sweeter when there's sun in our big, streaky windows. Yay!

    1. Yes! It makes such a difference, a difference unknown until it really starts to unfold, and then you think, "Wait. What have I been doing for the past six months?"

  3. After spending my first winter in Montreal, I can say with certainty that I am ready! Looking forward to seeing some crocuses peaking through the snow, long runs in the park and that fresh and fragrant breeze blowing through the open windows in our home (just being able to open a window is something to look forward to!). Mostly, I'm looking forward to fully appreciating and embracing this season just like I did with the winter.

    1. I'm glad you had a good attitude about this winter. Regrettably, mine began to wane in January—but, even through the cold, the extra sun in the past month has made a huge difference.

  4. After spending many years living in tropical climates, seasons are a revelation. It may be a cliche, but I really have the feeling of standing on a beach's edge and looking at the new possibilities that spring brings.
