Tehe, just thought I'd share this with you folks. You can find me on Refinery 29 and the Chicago Street Style blog. Let's keep it our little secret that I wore this dress the day before (and slept in it!).

eggs benedict
Someone made me Eggs Benedict for breakfast. It was sunny, and I carried around a new satchel that fell right out of m'dreams.
Happy Saturday, everyone.

self-portraits
It's Sunday. My new cardigan is beautifully shear, and with all the lights off in my apartment the overcast day seems incredibly bright. One of my New Year's goals is to begin taking self-portraits—sometimes I feel quite shy of myself, and I see this as peut-ĂȘtre some sort of therapeutic solution. But also, I usually find others' to be completely lovely and revealing.
So, hello from my bedroom. I had breakfast with Sam this morning, and now I'm spending the day relaxing with my plants and Audrey Hepburn (until I have to trek to my late night shift).

half-price mondays
Molly and I made a game plan before this thrifting adventure. My mental list consisted of: chunky knits, pretty beige night things, and pots to grow new plants (so inspired by Lotte). And I followed Alexa Chung's advice, and—very successfully—looked for sweaters in the little boy's section. For only $10, I got everything pictured above, plus the treasure-hunt-satisfaction that is the beauty of thrifting. I'm particularly in love with the soft pink nightgown find. I love the little boobs; they're perfect for my little boobs.

cowl
I didn't have anough yarn for a scarf, but this cowl will work perfectly. And the only pin I could find was this jewel-eyed feline that belonged to my great-grandmother. Oh my days, does she love cats.

julianne

Living in London, one of my fashion-student-flatmates was obsessed with her monthly issue of British Vogue. Naturally, my infatuation began. I particularly remember the July 2009 Ageless Style issue with Julianne Moore on the cover. Not only is she completely stunning, intelligent, and well-informed, but she gave me a fix of autumnal romance in the eye of summer.
Cheers, Julianne. I will soon be purchasing this issue on ebay.
